New Student Resource Guide

Finding Library Books, Articles, and More

How do I find a resource in ASU Library's print and digital collections?
To find books, journals, articles, or videos in the ASU Library collection, use OneSearch You can request to have books sent to the Law Library Circulation Desk for pickup or request scans if you need a chapter, article, or just a few pages.

How do I access a resource that ASU Library does not have in its collections?
If a resource you need is not available through ASU, we can usually obtain the item from another library through Interlibrary loan.  Requests can be placed by selecting the Request External Copy option in the library catalog or by using our ILL Request form.

How do I find material for class that is on Course Reserve?
To find Course Reserves, check your Canvas course page.  If your class is not using Canvas, search ASU Library Reading Lists or ask at the Law Library Circulation Desk.

How do I know what I have checked out and when it is due back to the library?
View your Library Account to check due dates, view the status of your requests, save search results, and renew items.

Law Library Tour and Orientation Videos

We created the New Student Orientation video series to give you a personal and practical introduction to the resources and services the Law Library provides. Many of these videos contain screencasts of the library's website and databases. It will be easier to see the details if you enlarge them to full screen.  Each video contains links in the description that will take you to the relevant portion of the Law Library's website. Please subscribe to the Ross-Blakley YouTube channel so you don’t miss any of our helpful and practical instructional videos.
