The Law Library can help you have a successful externship.This guide will outline all the services available to you. We have ample online resources as well as a document delivery service if you need something scanned and emailed to you from our collection

Washington D.C. Area Libraries

American University Pence Law Library
Open to the public, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Public patrons should enter the law school and register at the Warren Information Desk. 

The George Washington University Jacob Burns Law Library
Access is available to students enrolled at other academic institutions for academic legal research purposes. See this page for details. 

Law Library of Congress
Open to the public Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Retrieval service ends at 4 p.m. Closed Sundays and Federal Holidays. Use of the library will require a Reader Identification Card. There is no charge to obtain a card. The Frequently Asked Questions page contains useful information, including restrictions on personal belongings in library buildings and research areas
