Legal Treatises

A guide to authoritative legal treatises available at the Ross-Blakley Law Library.

Scope

The following is a suggested list of reputable treatises on frequently researched subjects. The call numbers on this page link to library catalog records, which provide information about location, availability, and currency of each item in the Ross-Blakley Law Library. The guide also indicates whether a title is available through an online database such as Westlaw, LexisNexis., Bloomberg Law, or CCH.

The suggested law journals are presented in alphabetical order (not ranked).  We are simply presenting preeminent journals in the field for your research consideration.

To use this guide, select the "Treatises by Subject" tab in the left-hand pane.  This will provide a list of the subject categories.  Select the category that you would like and you will be presented with authoritative treatises or legal journals in a tabbed box.

Ask a Law Librarian

The reference librarians at the Ross-Blakley Law Library are happy to help you find or navigate research resources. Librarians are available Monday-Friday by phone or by email.

Currently, the Law Library can only be accessed in-person by College of Law students, faculty, and staff, in compliance with the University's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
